What's Fresh at the Market on July 7th

What's Fresh at the Market on July 7th

I was inspired by Longfellow Creamery’s creamy Greek Yogurt to try this herb yogurt dip or salad dressing.

Fresh Herb Yogurt Dip
1 cup whole milk greek yogurt
Drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
Squeeze of lemon or lime juice from half a lemon or lime
1 tablespoon chives, chopped
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
Other fresh herbs that you like.
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Place all the ingredients in a small bowl. Stir until well combined.  Adjust seasonings to taste. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate.

Serve with all the fresh ingredients from the market. New young carrots for Songbird Farm and Stone Corner Farm, snap peas from Moodytown Gardens, beet greens and eggs from The Marble Family Farms, chicken and duck eggs from Aloha Rainbow Farm and chicken eggs from The Clark Farm.

Make a meal with beef from King & I Angus served with Focaccia bread and for desert Key Lime Pie or Key Lime Cookies.

Don't forget the great snacks
Pickled eggs form Stone Corner Farm and...

the best fresh Kettle Corn from Aloha Rainbow Farm. Popped fresh at the market. So sweet and salty you have to have some!

Try a FREE SAMPLE of pie from "My Pie"

The. Best. Curst. Ever! Strawberry Rhubarb is in season and delicious!

Stone Corner Farm will have garlic scape pesto, made with almonds, parm cheese and garlic scapes. Great for mixing with fresh cooked pasta or spreading on French bread and toasting.

Marble Family Farms will have some summer squash and zucchini, garlic scapes, lettuce, and probably broccoli.

Moodytown Gardens will have peas and new potatoes and beets.

Rasmussen Farm will have snow & sugarsnap peas, garlic scapes, wild woman salad mix, kale, fresh herbs, flowers, possibly seedlings.  Also maple syrup from Maple Ridge Farm & Fishery.
